Making

Working on another project for MaxContact and incredibly happy to be back after more than a year's break. Thanks for having me!

Slowly developing brand guidelines for The Norm to pass some responsibilities and spend less time on monotonous tasks.

Studying

Passed the equator of the Bureau Gorbunov's School first stage. Despite being focused mostly on theory (lectures + tests with occasional tasks no one's checking on the first stage), it helps a lot to structure the existing knowledge and fill the gaps I definitely have, especially in interface design theory and in typography. Thanks to it I rewrote my About page.

I feel I'm becoming more thoughtful and thorough, more careful to the sense of things I'm doing and how it transfers to aesthetics of what I do, and more free in decisions.

Living

My cat, Cometa, whose face you see on the logo and favicon, passed away on 8th of March, the next day after my grandfather. Grandfather was old and tired, and Cometa appeared to have cancer no one was aware of. She was just 5 years old. I'm still struggling to process this.

My grandfather was an outstanding agronomist, engineer and inventor. He cut an old soviet car in half and made a small pickup of it to carry his tools and potato bags. Cometa was just a funny girl and a loving friend, melting the hearts of everyone she met. Last year, while I've been abroad, she stayed at my parents' and made them love her so quickly, that they refused to ever give her back. So it happened. Time for happiness, time for sorrow.

Eventually I found out I might have some type of neurodivergence close to ADHD. It manifests in women a bit differently than in men, specifically in internal hyperactivity and restlessness, not external one. Now I'm exploring strategies to compensate it and reduce its impact on my everyday life.
